Meet the Ohio LECET Staff
Mark D. Lynsky
A continuous member in good standing of LIUNA for 25 years, Mark has held various positions in the union throughout his career. In 2006, he joined the Fair Contracting Staff. He works to insure that the Signatory Contractors that employ laborers’ have a level playing field when bidding publicly funded construction projects. Mark is a member of Local 423.
Carmen D. Henderson
Since 1994, Carmen has been a proud and active member of Laborers' International Union of North America Local 265 located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since joining the Union, Carmen worked in the field for over 12 years on Building and Highway Construction Projects. In 1995, she began working for the Cincinnati AFL-CIO Labor Council as an AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison. In 2005, she left the AFL-CIO to join the Fair Contracting Staff. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Labor Studies from the National Labor College in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Chad Leach
Local 1216 member Chad is a proud card holder of the Laborers Union since 1994. He has worked for numerous signatory contractors throughout Ohio. In 2005, he joined the LECET fair contracting staff. As a member of the Fair Contracting Staff he feels he has the opportunity to help the membership and the Local Unions. He is a graduate from Mansfield Madison and attended Shawnee State University.
Kevin Lewis
Keven been a member of Local #83 in Portsmouth, Ohio since 1990, serving for a time on the local's executive board. In the field, he worked on a variety of projects including the Sunoco Coke ovens, and the Marathon Ashland Oil pipeline. Since 2005, Keven has been a part of the Ohio LECET Fair Contracting Staff to help Union Contractors obtain more work and fight for enforcement of prevailing wages. Kevin is also a member of the Green High School Board of Education.
Thomas C. Underwood
Tom has been part of Ohio LECET’s Fair Contracting Staff for a little over two years now since 2007. Before joining LECET, I have been a proud member of Local #894 in Akron, since 1977, serving as union steward on a number of jobs, including the demolition of the Richfield Coliseum.
